A few days spent in London on the run up to Christmas......
One not to miss is Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Ritz Hotel. World famous, Christmas time adds an extra bit of excitement as the whole menu is catered around the season. Deserts are and flavoured around cinnamon as well as being designed to look like miniature christmas puddings and reindeers. The opulent Louis XVI inspired Palm Court was where we took our afternoon tea. Embellished for the season with numerous Christmas trees and swags, all decorated with a red and gold theme which continued throughout the rest of the hotel.

To stock up on some christmas goodies Fortnum and Masons is always the first choice. Its decedent window displays are always sure to catch the eye of passers by. This year they featured a North Pole workshop getting Fortnum and Masons ready for the Christmas rush.
As well as the window displays the whole frontage of the building was transformed into a enormous advent calendar with each window hosting a different advent number.
The design as a whole was beautifully put together and made a huge impact on the public who were all drawn to the red illuminated building.
London is always such a great place to visit but at Christmas it becomes extra special. As the sun sets in the early evening the lights and decorations are made all that more amazing and brings just an extra bit of Christmas cheer to the season.
